Pre and post workout stretches

If you are going to start training, doing more physical exercise, whatever it may be, take note that you need to prepare your body for it. That is, putting on the equipment and starting the training itself is harmful. You must warm up and stretch.

Stretching is beneficial not only to increase your flexibility, which is also important, but also contribute to better posture and the reduction of body pain whenever done at the end of training. They also allow you to prepare your body for a new workout the next day, for example.

Benefits of stretching

As we already said, stretching is part of a training that you want to be complete, rigorous, on a physical level. First of all it is good to have more flexibility. It allows you to do any type of training, connected to any modality. Your muscles are prepared for anything that comes and goes.

At the same time that you are doing the stretches you are warming up the body. You are warming up and you are activating it, for the training you want to do. Stretches give you more range of motion, which comes with flexibility.

Stretching allows you to increase blood flow to your muscles. This will also allow for better circulation, so it is great for blood flow. Adds to all this the fact that it is easier to recover from a workout and reduce muscle pain. Don't forget that muscle pain prevents you from developing your training 100%. The more muscle pain you have, the more your brain “asks” you to stop.

Never forget to stretch before and at the end of your workout. To become a good sportsman, pay attention to details. By this we mean that you must choose the right stretches for the training you are going to do. This is very important.

We are going to give you three stretching tips that are quite generic to do before or after training.

Twins stretching

After stretching your legs, that is, lower yourself until your hands hit the ground (if they don't hit stretch as far as you can), you'll stretch the part of the twins. Next to a wall or chair, place one foot in front of the other, with your knee slightly bent and you will stretch your leg further back and you will lean your body forward until you feel the twin making some effort. The foot must be fully resting on the floor. Hold this position for 30 seconds. Switch legs and do the same thing.

Stretches the neck muscles

This exercise should be done calmly and slowly. You will rotate your head to the right and then to the left. Slowly so as not to create injuries and not to get dizzy. It rotates well, contouring the head from the bottom up and from the top down.

Stretching triceps above the head

You raise one arm and bend your elbow to bring your palm down to the center of your back. And with your left hand you push your right elbow down. Stay that way for 30 seconds and then switch arms.

Stretches done before and after training are a guarantee that your body is better prepared for training. And it is a way to reduce the chances of getting injuries during exercise. The training itself is very important, but no less important is the preparation and how the body looks after a good hour of training. Good training!
